For those who do not know, my partner and I have gown our separate ways. As such she requested I take her family name off of the books. It is a request that I gave a lot of thought to and found to be very reasonable. As such I will be switching the name of the books and dropping the pen name. I will be using my initials and family last name from now on.
I will be reissuing the books keeping her as the original illustrator, however future books will be going in a new artistic direction as such I am seeking a new illustrator to redesign the books. I will likely be reissuing the first two books with the new artist to keep congruent art styles. If you are an illustrator and wish to collaborate with me on this or other future endeavors please contact me through my publishing company at Spun Silver Productions .
On a brighter note, I have some wonderful ideas for 2014 that I am excited about. So stay tuned for future updates as new developments start to happen.
I had an interview over the weekend with a Mr. James Nichols from Huffington Post’s Gay Voices. He asked me a few questions about the books and my reason for writing them. I really enjoyed the interview, and to not … Continue reading →
I have asked Spun Silver Productions to slash the price of the book series, and they have delivered big time! I had decided that the price was still too high to allow the books to be regularly accessible to … Continue reading →
As of March 1, 2013, Publish America has released me from the contract I had with them. I had been requesting this release due to their refusal to drop the price of my book. We have reached an agreement of release and have parted ways. Even though I harbor them no ill will, I would advise anyone who wishes to sign with them in the future to research them before signing a contract. My New Mommy will now be available through Spun Silver Productions just as my second book My New Daddy is. Through them, I am now in total control of my books and the price my books are to be sold at.
Ms. Mossiano took the end of the year off to spend time with family and friends. Since the turn of 2013, she has been working hard to bring you her latest installment of the My New Series. It has finally been released for purchased, and we are excited to share it with you.
My New Daddy has been completed and independently published by Ms. Mossiano’s own creation, the indie publishing company Spun Silver Productions, with the assistance of the indie e-book converter Smashwords.
My New Daddy is a short illustrated work of fiction following young Charles through the journey of his mother’s transition from female to male, and his transition from calling him “Mommy” to “Daddy”.
It explains, in easy to convey ideas, the hows and why of female to male gender reassignment surgery and the emotional and mental changes that occur during transition.
It is designed to instill a sense of understanding in young children to prevent confusion and mistrust of transgender individuals.
The first in the series, “My New Mommy” is available in print form through major online retailers worldwide.
